THE STORY OF GOLDRAT RIVER SLUICING

The pioneer days of gold mining in the River were defined by a distinctive method known as sluicing. Originating from the necessity to extract coveted minerals from the heavily laden riverbeds, sluicing became as a prevalent practice. Astute miners would construct elaborate sluice boxes, carefully directing the river water to wash away the extra
